The neck position APH-1 accommodates warm blues and classic rock, while the lead TB5 pickup has the perfect balance of power, sustain and distortion for modern metal. The quilt top body connects to a 3-piece mahogany neck; it has a 24-fret ebony fretboard, putting a full two octaves of tones under your fingertips. Dean installs a Kahler Hybrid tremolo system on the ML Select with a locking nut, reducing the need for a string tree with a built-in break angle. This prevents the pitch from shifting when locking down the strings.
